WHEN WISDOM WALKS AWAY: THE LESSONS HIDDEN IN A FRIENDSHIP THAT FADED

WHEN WISDOM WALKS AWAY: THE LESSONS HIDDEN IN A FRIENDSHIP THAT FADED

There are certain people who enter our lives not by accident, but by divine timing. They arrive like a spark illuminating parts of us we didn’t even know existed. Years ago, I had such a friend.

Back then, I was young, bold, and confident, carrying innocence like a crown and very curious about everything . Around him, I was an open book. I could say anything, ask anything, and share anything, because I trusted him completely. He was different for everyone around me , his wisdom drew me in. He didn’t just talk; he spoke in a way that sank deep into my soul. Our conversations weren’t shallow they were about life principles , purpose, growth, and the hidden truths that most people overlook.he believed in the law of the Universe that everything was Possible. there is no good or bad but there are consequences for every action.

Looking back, I realize that kind of connection is rare. When you meet someone who challenges your mind while soothing your spirit, you don’t forget them. And for a while, I thought it would last forever.

But life, as it often does, had other plans. Slowly, almost silently, he began to pull away. The conversations that once came daily became occasional, then rare, until one day, there was nothing at all. No explanations, no goodbye. Just distance.

At first, it felt like loss. A part of me longed for those conversations, for the safety I felt in that friendship. I wanted answers was it me? Did I say too much? Did I lean too heavily on his wisdom? But with time, I came to understand something deeper: some friendships are not meant to stay they are meant to teach.

Not all people are meant to walk with us forever. Some are bridges helping us cross into new versions of ourselves. Others are mirrors reflecting back the parts of us we need to see. And some, like him, are mentors we didn’t ask for, who plant seeds of wisdom and then vanish so that we may grow on our own.

Today, when I think of him, I don’t feel pain. I feel gratitude. His presence shaped me, his wisdom sharpened me, and his absence taught me independence.

And then, just when I thought the chapter was closed, something unexpected happened. I received a letter from him. It was short, but it carried a lifetime of truth. He wrote:

“Never dim your light for anybody. Always be original, no matter what. And always remember you are never alone. There are more with you than against you.”

Those words became a beacon. They reminded me that our light is not meant to be hidden, compromised, or diminished to make others comfortable. To dim your light is to betray the gift you were born with. His words called me to stand boldly in my originality, to embrace the very things that set me apart.

And that final reminder you are never alone was like a gentle whisper to my soul. Because even when people leave, even when relationships fade, there are unseen hands guiding us, unseen forces rooting for us, and more allies in the spiritual and physical realms than we often recognize.

If you’ve ever lost someone you deeply admired a friend, a mentor, or even a soulmate remember this: not every ending is abandonment. Sometimes it is graduation. You were never left empty-handed; you were left with lessons, growth, and a new level of understanding.

Cherish those who come and stay. Honor those who come and leave. Both play an equal role in shaping who you are becoming. And above all never dim your light. The world needs the full brilliance of who you are.
